Monster launches site for college students

Recruitment powerhouse Monster Worldwide has launched a new site for prospective college students called Admissions.com. The site aims to be “a comprehensive online resource geared toward providing tips and helping prospective college students and their parents find — and get into — the right school for them.”

Companion sites FastWeb.com (scholarships) and FinAid.org (financial aid) will round out the picture.

Admissions.com features include:

– Ask an Expert: Students and parents can pose questions directly to a panel of professional and academic experts, who will then respond in a public forum.

– Community Discussion Boards: Provides users with the opportunity to engage with peers and experts alike in an open-discussion forum with blogs, boards and threads

– User-Generated School Rankings: Top-ten lists that call out the best schools for particular majors and fields of study.
