Move president Borenstein to leave company

Lorna Borenstein is out at Move.com. The company has announced that its current president has has decided to leave the company effective March 13, 2009.

Steven Berkowitz, who was named Move’s Chief Executive Officer in January of this year, will assume responsibility for Borenstein’s duties.

A statement from Steven Berkowitz released by the company said:

“Over the past two years, Lorna has been a passionate leader, guiding the Company to redesign its websites, focus on profitable operations, and drive operating efficiencies to better position the Company to succeed in the current market downturn and when the market recovers. She has been a valuable resource for me over the past month as I have transitioned from the Board to the CEO role and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Borenstein came to Move in May 2007 after holding executive positions at Yahoo and EBay.

Move, Inc. is set to announce its latest results for Q4 2008 on 3 March 2009.
