Is your newspaper’s Web site making the grade?

Take it all with a grain or two of salt: 24/7 Wall Street has once-again graded the Top 25 U.S. newspaper Web sites, and it’s a pretty hard grader. You might not agree with the scoring, but criticism regarding ease-of-use and other consumer perspectives are instructive.

Indeed, some of the sites earning D grades seem to have lost their way a bit. From a function perspective, some of them look like mere link machines. From a design perspective, they seem to be screaming, “We don’t know what’s important anymore.”

But this pot ain’t calling any kettle black. Our own site needs a bit of work.

Give the story a B+. Worth a read.
