This apartment rental Web site, along with GSCRentals.com, ApartmentCorner.com and 247Apartments.com have been acquired by Torstar Corporation’s largest subsidiary. The Gottarent Web site group brings 350,000 renters to the online listings of the Toronto Star, Hamilton Spectator, Waterloo Region Record and more than 100 community newspapers owned by Metroland. Gottarent offers an Advanced Source Tracking (AST) system, which continuously measures phone and e-mail inquiries for its advertising property managers.

George Cottage and Jon Russo, former primary owners of the properties, are joining Metroland to oversee the transition. “Through the power of Torstar Corporation and its subsidiaries Gottarent.com will provide even more qualified renter leads while reaching an entirely new audience of renters,” said Russo. “I look forward to the partnership ahead.”
