JobTitled delivers detailed career analytics

Every once in awhile, after we think we’ve seen it all, along comes a new recruitment site that offers something extremely useful. The site is JobTitled and it mashes up job search criteria with deep analytics to give job seekers the data they need before making a career switch.

It works like this: you type in a job title in the search field. JobTitled then presents you with a detailed page with:

– A definition of what someone in that job does
– How long the average person stays in this position
– What type of job did the person in this position have before and what type of job might they have in the future
– What education level is needed for the job
– What kind of degrees people in this job hold

There’s a section for a job Wiki to which JobTitled encourages visitors to contribute. And a helpful blog that explains more about the site’s algorithms.

JobTitled says it has millions of resumes and job histories in its database which it crunches to return job data. Visitors can also join, upload their own career information which then makes the JobTitled database that much richer.

We punched in a couple of job titles and were pleasantly surprised about how accurate the results were.

The site launched earlier this month.
