Turns out there are several openings at GateHouse Media that might fit you (our readers) – not just the one we told you about earlier this week.

            The company, which is based near Rochester, N.Y., is also looking for a corporate VP of sales and marketing. That position (and several others) is based either at corporate headquarters or at the company’s offices near Boston.

There’s also an opening for an ad operations manager, based at headquarters.

When few people are hiring, it’s good to pass these along.

And — being the eternal optimists — this raises the question: “Is this a sign that things are turning around in the classified industry?” We think so. Perhaps they’re turning slowly, but they are turning.
