Twitter and LinkedIn? Of course.
Twitter and LinkedIn announced a deal that lets users link their accounts on both services so they can tweet LinkedIn status updates and have their tweets sent to LinkedIn connections.
At first blush, you might ask why. I know I did.
Then I got to thinking how I use Twitter. I don’t tweet to tell you how many Carolina wrens are feasting from the bird feeder out in my breezeway. (FYI: All of them, it would seem.)
I use Twitter to send you the latest headlines on AIMGroup.com. That might not seem too personal, but frankly, if I’ve got something to tell you, it’ll be on AIMGroup.com anyway.
For me, Twitter is professional tool. It’s a wire service. And so it is for thousands if not millions of other tweeters who use Twitter to advance their businesses and / or their careers. Used wisely, it’s a good way to keep your professional network updated.
(Oh, look. The doves are back.)
