Google adds click-to-call feature to mobile ads

In what looks like an easy two-step process Google AdWords mobile advertisers can enable click to call.

Google’s blog just announced this ability for a consumer to search for a particular retailer or service, see the resulting list on their smart phone screen and click on the hyperlinked phone number of the chosen nearby location to immediately call that merchant. It also tracks how many calls come in to the merchant this way, so advertisers can easily track the effectiveness of this feature.

Read a lot more about the new service here, including a screen shot of the results display and a video.
