Dot-jobs explainer from the AP

In case you missed it: The Associated Press published a story at the end of February about former Monster President Bill Warren’s Dot-jobs venture as executive director of the DirectEmployers Association. We covered it in detail for clients in late January.

For non-clients, the AP story is a good explainer. You’ll find it here. But don’t try the links to “*.jobs” sites in the AP’s account; they don’t currently work. The association took down the dot-jobs platform for enhancements. “We have received very valuable feedback from users, employers and other interested parties about the .jobs universe,” Warren blogged. “The .jobs platform will be taken out of test-mode and officially launched when these suggested enhancements have been completed.”

ERE.net’s John Zappe reported that Warren said January’s launch date for thousands of dot-jobs sites had been “a little too ambitious.”
