VRM Solutions, Inc, owners of vacation rental listing sites VacationRentalDirect.com, and InnDirect.com, has a beta sister site funded by seed accelerator TechStarts. VacationRentalPartner wants to make it easy for property owners to  to manage their vacation rental home. Its target market is  individuals that manage vacation rental homes and don’t want to pay high fees to outside management companies.

Vacation Rental Partner can handle booking requests, complete the contract, bill the renters, and arrange and oversee vendors such as pool cleaners and housekeeping services.  It also enables automated listing distribution to Craigslist and other classified sites.

TechStars provided $18,000 to get VacationRentalPartner started, and is mentoring the start-up as well.   You can read more on this on the Next Big Thing blog of Google developer advocate Don Dodge.

An important aside is that with VacationRentalDirect owners can list their properties directly to their Facebook wall. Here’s more on that.

We don’t know that VRM owners Jennifer and Brent Kleinheksel are open to it, but this would be a nice collaboration for traditional media that offer rental listings.  The publisher and VRM could reprint each others’ listings, and the media group could offer the rental management services of VacationRentalPartner.com for an additional fee, paying VRM a wholesale rate. This could increase VRM’s target market and audience, while boosting the revenue for both collaborating companies.
