LATCareers to power impreMedia job boards
LATCareers.com has agreed to power the recruitment sites for impreMedia, the largest Spanish-language news publisher.
LATCareers is the leading Latino-bilingual job board in the United States.
Mary Zerafa, vice president of integrated marketing for impreMedia, said the company has been looking for several years for the best solution to help it move beyond simply pushing printed employment liners online. “We just needed to find the right partner,” she said.
The integration has already started and should be completed sometime in the fourth quarter, Zerafa said. The agreement was announced Aug. 17.
“We want to become an all-encompassing, one-stop shop with various programs” for recruitment, Zerafa said.
With the agreement, impreMedia will leverage LATCareers’ national advertising footprint and diversity job fair network. LATCareers will take advantage of the strong local relationships impreMedia has in its markets, said LATCareers president Chris Dugan. The two companies will share advertising revenue.
LATCareers, which specializes in helping companies fill jobs that require bilingual skills, works with about 85 percent of the Fortune 100 companies, Dugan said. It also powers job sites for some Latino non-profit agencies.
The company also runs 170 diversity job fairs in 90 cities, and it is the only recruitment site run by an Hispanic woman, Rubicela Acosta, the CEO, Dugan said.
ImpreMedia has 97 print and interactive products, including the portal, impre.com. It publishes Hispanic newspapers in the top seven U.S. Hispanic markets, include La Opinion in Los Angeles and El Diario La Prensa in New York City.
Dugan said LATCareers is looking for relationships with other publishing companies. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 30 percent of the U.S. labor force will be Hispanic, he said.
