AOL’s “Devilish” new ad plans

According to The Wall Street Journal, AOL has bigger and splashier advertising plans, with a style guide the revamped digital firm is calling Project Devil.  Bigger than ever, the new and improved AOL display ads could include slideshows, videos and feeds from Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.

AoL is expanding it’s hyperlocal Patch.com to the Baltimore area (for starters,)  with what the Baltimore Business Journal says will be more than a dozen editions in nearby towns.   Local community newspapers and dailies should be concerned. Continue reading
