Compete.com: top-trafficked auction sites
Daype Classifieds looked at marketplace listing websites offering an auction option and ranked them according to June 2010 unique visitors, change from the prior month, and change from the prior year. Statistics are from Compete.com. Here are the top 15:
EBay Motors No.1 in visitors, says Compete.com
Compete.com, in its March 2010 list of automotive sites ranked by unique visitors showed EBay Motors taking first place, with 6,396,558 unique visitors, for a monthly increase of 5.79 percent, though an annual drop of 8.88 percent. Second place AutoTrader.com, whose uniques totaled 5,908,584, lost 4.13 percent of visitors for the month, and 2.62 percent for the year. We recently reported, however, that AutoTrader.com just celebrated a one-day visit figure of more than one million.

3. KBB.com, 5,631,566, monthly drop 1.33 percent, annual drop 25 percent.
4. Edmunds.com, 5,083, 771, monthly drop of 0.87 percent, annual drop of 21.26 percent
5. Yahoo Autos, 4,787,905, up 8.56 percent for the month, down 11.20 percent for the year
6. Cars.com, 2,876,925, down 11.25 percent for the month, 19 percent for the year
7. Aol Autos, 2, 149,733, monthly drop of 6.65 percent, yearly drop of 35.18 percent
8. Carmax, 1,758,334, dropped 9.77 percent for the month, lost 18.40 percent for the year
9. Automotive.com, 1,732,213, lost 5.60 percent of its visitors during March, but gained 2 percent YOY
10. Carfax, 1,659,203, dropped 6.08 percent for the month and 16.09 percent for the year.
