Where previously users could narrow house hunts by post codes and subscribe to alerts, Rightmove is now allowing users to select their own custom areas of interest just as you would select a section of an image for cropping.

According to the company,  more  10,000 search “shapes ” were saved by users for alerts in the first few days of the tool’s release.
