Media Swiss Group, operator of a number of classified platforms and since December 2007 80%-owned by Switzerland's biggest media group Ringier, is about to expand into Serbia, Ringier CEO Martin Werfeli announced today.

Media Swiss Group holds 49.9% of Scout24 Schweiz Holding and Deutsche Telekom AG holds the rest via its Munich-based subsidiary Scout24 Holding. The link to Ringier gives the online platforms operated by Media Swiss Group direct access to print, radio and television. More information about the plans to move into Serbia was not immediately available.

Werfeli said he expected continued income growth from Ringier's online activities at a pace high enough to compensate the expected revenue losses on the print side of the Ringier business.

Media Swiss Group employs 350 people and operates Jobscout24.ch, Immoscout24.ch, Autoscout24.ch, Friendscout24.ch and small ads on Scout24.ch in Switzerland.
