Urs Hügli, CEO of Homegate.ch, Switzerland’s biggest real estate portal, and CEO of Swiss media group Tamedia’s job portal division (called Tamedia Job Market), has hauled a competent hand on board to help him manage Tamedia’s three job portals. Hügli was appointed CEO of Tamedia Job Market in January.

On April 1, Yves Mäder, 37, senior manager at EBay Switzerland since 2004, will become chief operating officer of the Tamedia job portal division. With a team of 30 developers, Hügli and Mäder will work together to develop the job portal’s Jobwinner.ch and Alpha.ch further and link them closer to Jobsuchmaschine.ch, a Swiss job search engine recently acquired by Tamedia.

When EBay announced a major global restructuring at the end of 2008, Mäder got the task of realigning EBay Switzerland as head of the platform. Early this week EBay Switzerland had not yet named a successor for Mäder.

Jobwinner.ch was established in 2000 and receives 8.5 million page views per month (according to Tamedia), while Jobwinner.ch is narrowly focused on senior managers and professionals and receives 2.3 million page views per month.

According to Tamedia, the job ads listed on Alpha.ch and Jobwinner.ch will be duplicated on Jobsuchmaschine.ch and the three portals linked to each other to create the second biggest network of job portals in Switzerland in terms of ads listed and user numbers (after media group Ringier’s network consisting of Topjobs.ch and Jobscout24.ch).

Jobsuchmaschine.ch was established in 2000 and searches hundreds of sites of companies and personnel consultants, as well as job portals every day. The search engine is visited by 101,000 unique users per month (Wemf NET Audit November 2008).
