SeLoger, the French property portal, had positive revenue number for 2008 as a whole but went negative in Q4 due to a drop in classified ads in Paris.
For the full year, revenues were up 25 percent to EUR 71.7 million. Indeed, for all of 2008, classified ad sales (everywhere but in Paris) were up 44.5 percent to EUR 28.3 million.
By December, the picture looked very different. Overall, revenues contracted by 2.4 percent in the fourth quarter (versus the 3rd quarter). Revenues from classified sales to agents in the Paris area contracted 11.3 percent and sales of web site design contracted 29.4 percent.
The company also announced a loss of 453 customers – 136 in Paris and 317 in the regions.
