Internet Brands has picked up four new classified and reviews Web sites. In Q4 of last year, the company paid $2.8 million for two recruitment sites – CVTips.com and GrooveJob.com (which lists part time, seasonal and hourly jobs); automotive Web site SellMyCar.com (with 200,000 new and used listings); and the popular shopping site Steves-Digicams.com.
For the full year 2008, the company completed a whopping 29 online acquisitions for a total of about $62.6 million. Internet Brands has a network of more than 200 websites in the automotive, careers, home, shopping and travel and leisure categories.
In its Q4 results, Internet Brands has beaten the recession – at least for now. The company increased its revenue 8 percent for the quarter to $27 million compared with $24.9 million in the year-ago quarter.
