The Norwegian classified markets have been facing harder times since end of last year. The media magazine Kampanje recently published statistics. In January the total number of job ads in Norway decreased by 36 percent compared to the same month 2008, while real estate properties showed no change at all. The only positive trend is the market for vehicles, which increased 9 percent.

The decrease of ads started already last summer and has been reinforced by the current macroeconomic developments.

E24 reports that classified market leader Finn.no in Q4 2008 faced its worst quarter since 2005.
