WAN, IFRA make merger official

The World Association of Newspapers (WAN), which represents 18,000 publications and 15,000 Web sites, is merging with the global publishers association IFRA, which has more than 3,000 members in about 70 countries. After weeks of rumors, the two organizations made it official in a press release Thursday.
