Twitter desktop app raises $2 million

Popular Twitter desktop app TweetDeck has raised $2 million from a slew of small investors: Betaworks, TAG Ventures, PRO Founders Capital, Ron Conway, and Danny Rimer. The London-based company’s app has been downloaded one million times already. TweetDeck had previously raised $300,000. Its closest competitor is Seesmic Desktop.
