EBay news good for third quarter

EBay president and CEO John Carlson did most of the talking on the company's Q309 earnings call. He had plenty of good news to share.

The e-commerce firm's third quarter revenue was $2.2 billion, up 6 percent year over year. PayPal revenue gained 15 percent in the same timeframe, classifieds were up 20 percent from last year and Merchant Services gained 35 percent in the last 12 months.
