UPDATE – Scripps Networks Interactive buys 65% Travel Channel

Scripps Networks Interactive, a recent spinoff from E.W. Scripps, just announced its new partnership with Cox Communications for the Travel Channel. SNI is spending $181 cash to acquire 65 percent of the Channel in a deal whose completion is expected by January 2010. SNI delayed its third quarter earnings call by one day to make the early announcement of the partnership.
