Mobile payment and analytics provider Bango offers a free white paper about measuring mobile campaigns. It's quite informative, though one must keep in mind that Bango offers its own mobile analytics products so has skin in this game.  The issue of mobile analytics is important to publishers and broadcasters, not just for their own beyond-their-products marketing
