Careerjet, a leading international job search engine, launched a free job search application for iPhones and Android phones. The app is available in 15 languages ​​and downloadable from the Apple Store and Android Market.

With more than 90 local portals translated into 28 different languages​​,  Careerjet enables more than two million people to search more than 40 million job ads from more than 70,000 quality job sites every day. Launched in 2001, the search engine is constantly expanding through its three brands: Careerjet (International), Opcionempleo (in Spanish markets) and Optioncarriere (in French-speaking markets).

The app is as simple and easy to use as the site, and includes all the free services that Careerjet offers to job seekers. In addition to the possibility to search a job by keywords and location, you can also save particular searches, or a particular job offer, to look at them later. If you already have an account with Careerjet, you can login and manage your email alerts. Those who are not registered, may do so on their phones.

Careerjet.it has been active in Italy since 2007. Every day more than 50,000 people search for jobs from more than 800,000 listed vacancies in Italy.

Francesco Colombo, country manager for Italy and e-commerce developer of Careerjet.it, says the website has 7,4 million monthly page views, 2,7 million monthly visits and 6,6 million  monthly clickthroughs. The Italian site receives about 38,000 unique users per day (source: Careerjet.it). Every day an average of 8,000 job alerts are sent to subscribers. There are about 70,000 subscribers.

Careerjet.it is on a strong growth trajectory: in the 12 months from September 2010 the average daily page views grew by 66 percent, while the number of listed ads grew by 122 percent. In the first nine months of this year turnover was 229 percent up on the same period last year. (Careerjet.it adopted the pay-per-click model.)

“We give subscribers the opportunity to post, or create, resumes and cover letters, to have them at hand when they need to send an application from any computer.

“An important point: apart from job alerts we send nothing else; we don’t post any third party ads and don’t allow advertisers to access the database of resumes. Those who subscribe to our site don’t receive any alleged training offers by so-called enterprises,” says Colombo.
