BuzzBuzzHome, a Canadian website for new construction homebuyers, has made a run for a border, and the results look promising. The company, which we first wrote about in our Real Estate annual last year, has opened an office in New York and reports that a full 25 percent of the site’s 300,000 unique monthly visitors is now coming from the U.S.

BuzzBuzzHome says it has cataloged 1,000 new developments in New York, Dallas, Houston and Miami and is planning on adding “every major U.S. city” to its database over the next three months. (In Canada, the site has about 5,000 projects listed.)

BuzzBuzzHome was founded in 2009 in Toronto and provides map-based search results, new home data and geo-targeted content. The company has more than 250 developer clients and employs 35 full time staff (there’s also an office in the burgeoning Canadian tech hub of Vancouver).
