Of U.S. home buyers, 42% start their home search online, NAR finds

In its 2013 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers
, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) determined that 92 percent of U.S. home buyers included the Internet in their search for their ideal home; 42 percent of these searches began online. Only 9 percent of homes sold were For Sale By Owner (FSBO). The 8,767 respondents purchased a home between July 2012 and June 2013.
