OpenDoor, an instant-offer San Francisco-based residential real estate startup for home sellers, is getting lots of attention as well as money, even before it goes live. Khosla Ventures, SV Angel and several other investors just provided $9.95 million in first-round funding .  This month's launch of the house-flip site will be in three as-yet-unnamed U.S. area

Sharon Hill has been a senior writer / analyst with the AIM Group since 2004, except for a two-year time-out to serve as sales and marketing manager for Suburban Newspapers of America.
