The U.S. online-only auto sales trend grows, with the nation’s largest automotive retailer jumping on the digital bandwagon.

Very shortly AutoNation will roll out is new Smart Choice Express service in South Florida, expanding to all of its 240 stores across the nation in 2015.  When it debuts, customers will choose their car online, complete the paperwork and walk into the dealership with a guaranteed price. There is no shipping service. Financing and trade-in valuation features will not be live until the end of 2015.

“When the customer arrives, they walk in and there is the car they reserved,” AutoNation CEO Mike Jackson told CNBC. “They have a printout of what they agreed to for the price and it just makes a very easy, seamless experience for our customers.”
