Tamedia’s digital expansion plans pay off

In 2014 Swiss media group Tamedia improved its profitability, thanks to growing revenue from digital operations that more than offset losses from the declining print newspaper business.In FY2014 Tamedia's total revenue rose 4.2 percent to CHF 1.114 billion ($1.1 billion U.S.), while operating income (EBIT) rose 25 percent to CHF 160.6 million, and net income increased by 34 percent to CHF 159.
