EBay to launch cost-per-sale search ad format

EBay is launching a new ad format that guarantees first-page placement on product search results. It differs from what EBay has been doing with Google AdWords in that sellers are only charged when a click-through results in a sale.
The ads will begin appearing in the U.S. in June, on a limited basis. Sellers can bid up to 20 percent of a product’s final sale price for search keywords.
