AutoTrader veteran Chip Perry new CEO at TrueCar

23 Nov 2015

Chip Perry, who helped build automotive classified website AutoTrader into a $2 billion powerhouse, is the new CEO at TrueCar. Perry left AutoTrader in 2013 and in July of this year started what would turn out to be a short tenure as CEO of RentPath, which operates and a number of other rental-related properties. Now he’s back in the automotive business, taking over from Scott Painter, who announced in August that he was stepping down as CEO of TrueCar.

We’ll have more on Perry’s new gig in an AIM Group Alert later today.

Here’s the press release from TrueCar.
