Rob Hancock has been promoted to business development director within Friday Media Group (FMG), and will now focus on lead generation across the business.

Hancock has been with FMG for 15 years, having initially joined as a sales representative. He has played a key role in project management in roles across many FMG divisions.

Ian Partington, chief operation officer of Friday Media Group said: “Hancock’s remit will be to drive the lead generation process with the marketing and sales teams, as well as being responsible for partnerships across the business pertaining to SEO and direct traffic growth, such as the Adlink product on Memoria.”

Hancock said, “I am proud to be working for the FMG and excited to be able to work with such a talented bunch of people across our businesses. FMG has a massive future, and I will be working with our teams to help drive the continued development and growth of our market-leading brands.”

In addition, Steve Grice joined FMG as sales director, and will take responsibility for its Southern sales operations.

Grice (LinkedIn) has a long history in sales, starting with BT and Thomson Local before moving into media in 2004. He spent eleven years at Redactive Media Group.

Grice said, “The exciting growth plans attracted me to FMG. This is a company which isn’t afraid to invest in moving forward.”

Sam Kidger, group managing director of FMG said, “Grice comes with a wealth of senior management experience in the publishing and advertising sector in both online and print, a great match for FMG as we embark on our £40-million plan.”
