OLX Nigeria in search of sales champs

OLX Nigeria has invited interested sales people to apply for the position of sales champ at the site. The company is seeking to hire sales reps to manage and grow its user base, product and service offering.

The successful applicants will, amongst many other things, “…actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media and any other form that is most feasible, to increase the number of listings and users on the platform”.

OLX Nigeria recently launched a new service for users called Do It For Me – an upsell that lets verified personnel (called OLX champs), post or sell items on behalf of users for a fee. The new hires will probably be targeting small businesses and retailers to convert them to subscribers of this service.

In October 2015 the company threw a third anniversary party and invited high-performing merchants from its auto category to the party as a show of appreciation. Then OLX country manager Lola Masha explained the auto category is its most successful. It produces more listings and transactions than real estate and jobs.

OLX currently has a sales team of 87 persons and lists over 116,000 ads.
