Bayt passes 1.5 million app installs

Bayt.com, the leading jobs site in the Middle East, announced that its job app recently broke through the 1.5-million downloads mark.

The app, which is easy to use, allows professionals to search and apply for their ideal jobs on the go, as well as get vital information about their careers and job applications. The app also notifies users when their applications are viewed, or when jobs they might be interested in, opens up.

“We can say with confidence now that the future has arrived. Close to 60 percent of job-seekers in the Middle East prefer to search and apply for jobs on Bayt.com using their mobile phones,” said Omar Tahboub, vice-president of product at Bayt.com.

“Today we are announcing that more than 1.5 million users have Bayt.com in their pockets. Many of them used the app not only to search for jobs, but also to register on Bayt and create their complete CVs –  a task seen as possible only via desktops a year or two ago. Job-seekers in the Middle East have by now fully caught up with their counterparts internationally, and adopted mobile as the medium of choice to land their dream jobs,” he added.

Bayt’s app provides professionals with the tools they need to create their professional profiles, apply for any of thousands of job postings on the site, and stay informed of their application status via mobile notifications.

Users can connect with their Facebook or Google accounts, and sync information on their personal profiles and upload their CVs. With these simple, yet advanced features, professionals can apply for jobs, access saved searches and get information on who views their CVs.

This innovative platform recommends jobs that fit users’ profiles and notifies them when suitable positions open up.

The Bayt.com app is available for free on Apple App Store and Google Play. Bayt.com received 7.4 million visitors in May 2016 (according to SimilarWeb.com), whivh was 5.2 percent higher than in April.

The website’s main competitors in the region are Gulftalent.com, and Naukrigulf.com.
