EverJobs offers job-seeker support

30 Aug 2016

EverJobs Bangladesh, Rocket Internet’s job site in the country, is increasing its footprint across educational institutions under an “EKO” — education, knowledge and opportunity — campaign.

So far, the project has offered 15 workshops, imparting CV writing and interview techniques and providing career guidance to students, both in and outside of Dhaka, the capital.

“The awareness is both for institutions and students,” Esha Chowdhury, the site’s spokesperson, told the AIM Group. “The sessions are raising awareness of various industries in Bangladesh … to ensure the job seekers have wider career prospects.”

Complemented with a spin of radio and YouTube shows, the EKO drive has an underlying objective of making EverJobs a nationally-followed jobs portal.

Everjobs competes with BDJobs.com, which describes itself as the largest recruitment site in Bangladesh. It’s part-owned by Seek Ltd., the global recruitment giant based in Australia.
