Work.ua, Ukraine’s dominant job site, launched a new mobile version of the site in responsive design this month.

work-uaAccording to the site’s CEO Artur Mikhno, the mobile version of the site is more important than the app, because Ukrainian users tend to rely on it more than on apps.

The team currently works on new functions to have recruiters’ accounts available on the mobile site as well.

Currently, mobile visitors make up 40 percent of the site’s total audience, while in 2013 (when Work.ua launched its first, mobile version) it was only 12 percent. The site claims to have 85,000 listings and around 1.5 million CVs in its database.

It had ten million users in October, according to SimilarWeb. It is in a neck-and-neck race with Rabota.ua, owned by Polish group Pracuj, which had 9.9 total monthly visits in October, according to SimilarWeb data.

Earlier this year, the two sites were involved in a controversy, when Work.ua accused Rabota.ua of unlawfully re-posting its listings, something Rabota.ua denied ever doing.
