Two senior appointments at

Two interesting appointments were announced at the senior management level of Turkey’s late in 2016.

According to the leading site’s corporate communication department, the company had appointed Burcu Bati (photo) as chief financial officer and Seyda Kalkan (bottom photo) as internal audit and risk management director. 

Both have worked for extended periods at international companies, such as Vodafone, BP, PwC, Deloitte Turkcell in management positions, before joining, established in 2000, has more than 500 employees, and was the biggest classifieds and marketplace site in Turkey, with 41 million active users and more than 7 billion page-views in October 2016.

“Burcu and Seyda bring invaluable experience to our management team,” said CEO Burak Ertas. He added that, “we believe investing in our people is the key to sustaining our exceptional growth.

Bati (LinkedIn profile) brings more than 15 years of experience in finance and was the CFO of Turkcell-Superonline, the pioneer internet service provider (ISP) in Turkey, prior to joining

She started her career as a financial auditor at PriceWaterhouseCooper and held various executive management positions in finance at Turkcell and Vodafone Turkey, the top two GSM operators in Turkey. 

Bati holds a BA (Econ) from Bogazici University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA). 

Seyda Kalkan

Kalkan (LinkedIn profile) started her career as an auditor at Deloitte and served as financial controller for BP Turkey.

Before joining, she was internal audit manager for Borusan Holding, one of the leading conglomerates in Turkey.

Ms.Kalkan holds a BA (Econ) from Marmara University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA), certified internal auditor (CIA), and has certification in risk management assurance (CRMA).


Emre Dalkilic

Emre Dalkilic joined the AIM Group in 2014 as writer and analyst for Turkey. He has been working as a reporter, editor, editor-in-chief, and executive editor in different (primarily focusing on the growing Turkish economy) magazines more than 13 years. As a member of multiple organizations focusing on global economies coupled with a passion for scientific research, he actively contributes coverage on various business sectors within the online media and classified industries.Emre won three scientific article prizes in the field of economics and his works can be seen in many daily newspapers in Turkey (such as Sabah, Zaman and Radikal). He also works with non-governmental organizations as a volunteer and occasionally serves as a board member. Emre has also been involved in social projects including a project with the World Bank.
