Hyldborg (38) joined BoligPortal in 2015 from the classified site Gul og Gratis, owned by Jysk Fynske Medier, where he had been marketing director.

Boligportal.dk is one of three main sites run by North Media, the listed Danish media company. The others are the jobs site Ofir, and home-services site Handværker.dk.

BoligPortal is one of Denmark’s biggest sites for real estate and the biggest one for rented apartments. Boligportal had 30 employees and generated a profit before tax in FY2015 of DKK 10.4 million ($1.5 million U.S.) and DKK 16.5 million in FY2014.

In North Media’s Q3 report of FY2016, the company wrote North Media´s online revenue growth is underperforming, but the positive side is that BoligPortal returned to its path of growing revenue in Q3.

Otherwise the online activities of the Danish Media company is not living up to expectations. According to the Q3 report, the company expected a negative EBIT for all online activities of DKK 8 to 9 million in 2016.
