Khoobchandani had served in several leadership roles at Microsoft and its subsidiaries in Southeast Asia, including as general manager of Microsoft Business Solutions for Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

He still has to update his LinkedIn profile page to reflect the fact that he’s left Microsoft after roughly ten years.

“Haresh has an intimate knowledge of the market, and a great track record of building and growing businesses in the region,” Tracey Fellows, CEO of REA Group in Australia, the parent company of IProperty Group, said in a news release.

“Haresh’s expertise in sales, marketing and technology will be a great addition to the team, and will help accelerate our growth in Malaysia and Singapore.”

Khoobchandani has presented at TEDx ChiangMai in Thailand, and the Bloomberg ASEAN Summit. He won a Global Brand Leadership Award at the World Brand Congress 2011.

IProperty Group operates in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong, competing directly in several of those markets with PropertyGuru.
