What Naspers really wants with LetGo

CNBCAfrica.com interviewed Bob van Dijk, CEO of Naspers, in Davos, where he is attending the annual World Economic Forum meeting this week.

He had a few interesting views on articifial intelligence (AI), smartphone penetration in Africa, Russia and India and the Naspers strategy with LetGo in the U.S..

The latter in a nutshell: Naspers isn’t primarily interested in LetGo as a U.S. market leader, but rather in its potential to become a global brand. “That’s where we can help LetGo,” he added.
