Ricardo Bonzo Filho is the company’s new CEO. He’ll replace co-founder Sylvio Alves de Barros Netto, who sold his minority stake to Itau Bank.

Ricardo Bonzo Filho worked as head of brand management at Volkswagen Financial Services in Latin America, and then as head of sales strategy, network planning and training at MAN Latin America. Bonzo Filho has worked in the banking industry for more than a decade – mainly at Itau Bank – which should help both ICarros and the Brazilian bank to increase auto-financed sales.

Out-going CEO Sylvio de Barros is a serial entrepreneur. For instance, he founded competitor WebMotors and ICarros.

The Itau Bank deal is yet to be formally announced.
