Job site for call center jobs launches in Australia
20 Mar 2017
ItsMyCall, a new job site catering specifically to the call center industry, launched in Australia recently, and already claims more than 50,000 unique visitors per month and 6,500 paid subscribers.
Its early success is due to a partnership with Auscontact Association, Australia’s official call center industry body, and Contact Centre Central, a news website for call center professionals.
The company said the partnerships have enabled the site to grow its paying members to 6,500, which it said represents the bulk of call centers operating in Australia.
ItsMyCall managing director Justin Tippett said the site’s purpose was to simplify the recruitment process for call centers, by recognizing the different skill-sets required of employees, and the different kinds of call center work available.
“For too long recruiting contact center staff has been a difficult process, with the current options not understanding the diverse nature of roles available within the Australian contact centre industry,” Tippett said.
The current options Tippett refers to is Seek, Australia’s leading jobs site. According to the ItsMyCall website, it has “59 job types compared to eight on Seek”. These job types are broken down into categories such as “quality and compliance”, or “learning and development”, and can be further drilled down to individual job positions.
The site also allows job seekers to register for an “inbound program”, so recruiters and employers can contact job seekers directly, a feature similar to LinkedIn’s Premium “career” subscription.
Tippet is also the managing director of ItsMyCall’s partner Contact Centre Central, and formerly served as the chair of the Victorian chapter of the Austconnect Association, ItsMyCall’s other partner, for three years.
Prior to that, Tippett held various call center positions at Australia Post, including project director of contact center optimization.
“ItsMyCall has been developed by people actively involved in supporting and promoting the Australian contact centre community,” Tippett said.
“We look forward to continuing to promote the diverse career options within the Australian contact center community.”
