Mohit Dubey, co-founder of auto site, joined mobile-tech start-up Zophop Technologies, reported VCCircle. This will be a full-time position for Dubey, who also co-founded Zophop. He will be responsible for driving the company’s overall growth.

Dubey founded Zophop with Vinayak Bhavnani, a computer science wizard focused on mobile technologies, in 2014.

Available in Google Play, ZopHop is a commuter travel app that displays schedules of buses, trains and metro services in 15 cities, and also the nearest available Ola or Uber cabs. In addition, it shows the real-time movement of traffic in local languages.

Dubey is known as a serial tech-entrepreneur, who co-founded auto classifieds site in 2005 together with Tufail Khan, Gaurav Verma and Run Sahlam. Recognized as one of the world’s Top 200 companies for innovation by Red Herring in 2006, launched India’s first Used Car Price Guide, which is still the country’s most comprehensive and credible source of information on used car prices today. It offers prices for all the popular cars sold in India since 1991 in 28 cities.

“We are now accelerating the pace of growth of Zophop. Our user base has grown four times in the last two months and soon commuters will also be able to purchase their tickets through the app,” Dubey said.

The start-up raised $450,000 (Rs 2.9 crore) in seed funding from Google executive Amit Singhal, angel investor PK Gulati and ten others in October 2015.
