Jens Berndt appointed CTO at Homegate in Zurich

Jens Paul Berndt (47) was appointed chief technology officer (CTO) of Homegate AG, responsible for the real estate site’s technological development and operation. He succeeds Dave Cannizzaro, long-time IT director, who is “looking forward to take on new professional challenges”, according to the Homegate news release.

Berndt reports to Axel Konjack, CEO of Homegate AG. Homegate AG is part of media group Tamedia AG, and Zürcher Kantonalbank is a shareholder.

In the last 20 years, Berndt worked at several well-known names in the classifieds and auto-manufacturing world. His last employer was Scout24 Group, for which he worked in several positions, including as head of technology for the “New and Home Construction” market segment of Immobilienscout24 in Berlin, and as head of product engineering of in Vienna.
