rolls out clever in-app virtual tours

05 Sep 2017

Real estate site ImmoScout24 Switzerland partnered with virtual reality start-up Spectando to offer virtual tours right inside its existing smartphone app.

Immoscout24 is a division of Scout24 Schweiz AG, a company co-owned by Ringier Digital AG (50 percent) and the Swiss insurance firm Die Mobiliar (50 percent ), and managed by Ringier.

The Spectando technology enables users, both private and real-estate agents, to create virtual tours of listed properties directly in the app environment without having to install additional software. The technology also automatically adds the virtual tour to the listing.

“Real estate agents who add virtual tours to their property listings benefit from an increased interest in their listings,” said Martin Waeber, director of ImmoScout24 Switzerland, in a news release.

Swiss start-up Spectando is a provider of scalable, mobile software for easily creating virtual tours of listed properties. The company’s 360-degree solution was built in-house and works seamlessly with photos taken by smartphones or tablets.

Spectando was launched in 2015 by a team of ETH Zurich students and is headed by founder and CEO Alexander Sanders.
