Auto24 buys Estonia’s auto magazine Autoleht

07 Sep 2017

In Estonia, BaltCap’s auto site Auto24.ee purchased the car magazine Autoleht from the Estonian publisher Presshouse.

Autoleht is the largest automotive magazine in Estonia, which has been published since 1999 and has more than 62,000 permanent readers, according to the latest Estonian Readers’ Survey.

Auto24 AS counts on creating synergies between its Auto24.ee auto classified site, auto magazine
Autoleht.ee and video site Motors24. The latter was acquired from Meediamootor OÜ in May this year.

The acquisition of Autoleht is another step in the direction of offering Auto24 corporate customers wider opportunities for introducing and promoting their products, said Margus Tomberg, managing director of Auto24 AS, in a news release announcing the transaction (here).

BaltCap, a private equity investor, purchased Auto24 together with stuff site Kuldnebors.ee, boat site Veetehnika.ee, trucks and machinery site Rasketehnika.ee and motorcycle vertical Mototehnika.ee from Sanoma Media Finland in March 2017 (our report).

Auto24 is the largest automotive vertical in Estonia. In August this year, it received 4.7 million visits (web and mobile traffic), as measured by SimilarWeb.
