Autohome’s new celebrity reviewer is arrested

03 Oct 2017
Autohome’s (汽车之家, NYSE: ATHM) latest celebrity content-producer, the auto reviewer Yan Chuang 闫闯, has gotten off to an inauspicious start with his new employer. Last week we reported that "Yan Chuang Talks Cars" (闫闯说车), one of the most popular online auto-reviewing programs in China, had joined Autohome’s rapidly-expanding stable of in-house content, after the Beijing-based company signed an eye-opening 20-million RMB ($3 million U.S.) contract with the show’s creator. Yan however is now under arrest, following an incident that reportedly took place on September 28, just one day after the initial announcement of the contract with Autohome.
