Allegro.pl, Poland’s largest marketplace for new and used goods, and stuff site OLX.pl are among the top ten strongest brands in Poland, according to the twelfth edition of the SuperBrands 2018 survey.

Allegro holds the second position in the ranking, while OLX is ninth. There are no other classifieds brands among the top 10, although you will find Google (in third position) and Facebook (in tenth position) on the list. Both Google and Facebook recently launched their offerings in the area of classifieds in Poland.

The ranking was compiled after a survey conducted by market research company ARC Rynek i Opinia among more than 10,000 respondents by way computer-assisted web interviews (CAWI). The respondents were asked to nominate the strongest of nearly 2,000 brands from various industries.

In October this year, Allegro received a massive 237 million visits to its desktop and mobile websites, as measured by SimilarWeb.com. The site is owned by private equity firms Cinven, Permira and Mid Europe. They acquired it from Naspers in January this year (more).

OLX.pl is the largest general classifieds site in Poland. In October this year, it had 139.3 million visits to its desktop and mobile websites, as measured by SimilarWeb.com. The site is owned by Naspers subsidiary OLX Group.
