PropertyGuru appointed Manav Kamboj, former vice president and head of buyer product and technology at Snapdeal in India, as its new chief technology officer. Kamboj will be responsible for the company’s technology and engineering divisions across offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

He will be responsible for leading a team of more than 60 engineers, software developers and data scientists who deliver technology solutions for home seekers, real estate agents and property developers.

In addition, he will partner with the product management team to drive PropertyGuru’s initiatives in artificial intelligence and augmented reality. His team will also look to further develop the automation, scalability and security capabilities for the group’s platforms and operations.

Kamboj was also co-founder and CEO of LetsGoMo Labs, one of the leading mobile app development studios with operations in India and the US. Kamboj was also the Vice President, Delivery for Appulse Technologies, a software consulting firm. He brings to PropertyGuru extensive experience in the e- commerce, mobile, finance technology, and software sectors.

Kamboj holds a post-graduate diploma in business management (PGDBM) from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and a Bachelor in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. His LinkedIn profile also lists him as an angel investor and advisor.

He succeeds Malcolm Fitzgerald who was chief product and technology officer (CPTO) from January 2016 to June 2017.
